Updated for 2020!!
Early Spring Season
18 and under Girls USTA Teams
Seasons and Teams: This is for the 5-week season of late March through April and is an All-Girls USTA League. We will also have a coed-season in May-June that you can see above in “Spring.” That season happens directly after.
Coaches: Justin DePietropaolo will be the teams head coaches and responsible for facilities, balls, practice, lineups, communication with parents, and communication with opposing coaches. We may be bringing in another coach to help out as well.
Age Groups and Level of Play: All players must be 18 or younger and remain under 18 until after August 31, 2020. This is a high school level league and players should be generally able to rally over the net, keep score and serve. We sometimes carry 2 teams if we have enough players.
Practices: Practices last as long as the season lasts shown below:
Early Spring Practices
Days: Once a week on Tuesdays, starting March 24th and going 5 weeks
Place: Downingtown West HS
Matches:: Half of the matches are home, and half are away. Home match location will be at Downingtown West HS. Away matches are around the Philadelphia/Chester County area and should be no longer than a 45 min. drive. Matches take place Saturday afternoons early March through the end of April. There are spots 7 girls in each girls season match and 4 girls in each coed season match, so while players may not play EVERY week, they will play in the majority of the matches. A schedule will be put out before March 20th.
USTA Membership: All players must be USTA members, which can be purchased at www.usta.com. USTA membership is $20/year and includes subscriptions to various publications.
League Fee- Each league has a $13 fee to play that you must pay online to USTA.
Team Fee: There’s a team fee which covers costs for courts, instruction, balls, end of season party and other items:
Girls Early Spring Season- $75 for 5 week season of matches and practices
Head Coach: Justin DePietropaolo- email@example.com; (484) 883-0048
Registration: There are 3 steps to registration. The first step is to fill out the Informational Form. Once that is filled out, the coaches will review and forward on step 2 for USTA online registration and team fee payment.
