Early Spring 18 and under Girls Team
Division and Teams: There is only 1 division for Early Spring, which is March/April and that is 18 and under Girls. We plan on having at least 1 team in this division.
Coaches: Justin DePietropaolo will be the teams head coaches and responsible for facilities, balls, practice, lineups, communication with parents, and communication with opposing coaches. We may be bringing in another coach to help out as well.
Age Groups and Level of Play: All players must be 18 or younger and remain under 18 until after August 31, 2017. This is a high school level league and players should be generally able to rally over the net, keep score and serve.
Practices: Team practices will be held on Thursday late afternoons or early evenings, starting the week before our first match and ending by the end of the season. Practices will most likely be held in the Downingtown area, most likely at Downingtown West High School.
Matches:: Half of the matches are home, and half are away. Home match location will be at Pennypacker Country Club. Away matches are around the Philadelphia/Chester County area and should be no longer than a 45 min. drive. Matches take place Saturday afternoons early March through the end of April. There are spots 7 girls in each matches, so while players may not play EVERY week, they will play in the majority of the matches. A schedule will be put out before March 2nd. The season will last from March 11th – April 22nd.
USTA Membership: All players must be USTA members, which can be purchased at www.usta.com. USTA membership is $20/year and includes subscriptions to various publications.
Cost: In addition to the $20 USTA Membership, the League Fee is $12, and the Team Fee is $110. The League fee goes towards league awards and administration. The team fee is for courts, balls, practices, and an end of the year party. The total cost for the season would be $142 for those that are not already USTA members.
Head Coach: Justin DePietropaolo- email@example.com; (484) 883-0048
Registration: There are 3 steps to registration. The first step is to fill out the Informational Form. Once that is filled out, the coaches will review and forward on step 2 for USTA online registration and team fee payment.
