Abhineet and Abhiraj represent Just Tennis in Radnor Hunt 10U Tournament

The Just Tennis Community has their own version of the Bryan Brothers: Abhineet and Abhiraj. They’re an integral part of our “Just Tennis 10 and Under Lightsabers” team and they’ve put forth strong performances in both singles and doubles, most notably when they play together.

This past weekend, they had such a strong performance in doubles against Radnor Hunt, that they were invited to play in the Radnor Hunt 10 and Under Singles Championships, held on a full court with green dot balls.

There were 14 players in the draw. Abhineet put forth a strong performance, but lost in the semifinals. Abhiraj powered through the draw and made it all the way to the finals, where he battled Sophie, a strong opponent who has played in both of our Just Tennis 10 and Under Tournaments this year.

Abhiraj fought hard but Sophie ended up taking home the winners trophy by a score of 2-4, 4-2, 8-10. Abhiraj came to practice on Monday afternoon excited to show coach Justin his new runners up trophy!

Abhiraj and Sophie

The “Abhi’s” have been doing a great job representing Just Tennis on the court, displaying great teamwork, chemistry and sportsmanship throughout the Fall JTT season. Their father was very proud of their performance in this tournament, the improvements they’re making on the court, and of course, the love of the game that the twins are developing. He told us that he’d  “like to thank Coach Justin D for coaching my kids so that they could perform so well against such a strong opponent!”

Great job guys, and we wish the twins (and the remainder of the Just Tennis 10U LightSaber squad) a successful remainder of the Junior Team Tennis season.
