Just Tennis Kicks Off 10U Clinics at Morgantown Community Church

The gym at the Morgantown Community Church saw its first tennis action this past Wednesday with a combined 8 and under and 10 and under clinic, featuring 13 kids from the Morgantown/Elverson area!

This is the first clinic of a 6 week session at this location and will hopefully serve as the start of a new youth tennis community in this small part of Chester and Berks Counties.

Justin L. and his high school helper, a local Twin Valley High School Senior and Tennis Team Captain, led the clinics and went over forehands and backhands. Of course, fun relay races and team activities were introduced as well to mix things up and keep the kids engaged.

Next week, Justin D. will be leading the clinics and will be working on volleys. There are a ton of fun activities and games that are associated with the volleys, so it should be a great clinic again.

In an area that doesn’t provide many tennis options, its great to spread the fun of 10 and under tennis to this neck of the woods. Tennis provides kids with the ability to not only learn a new sport, but also to socialize, make friends,  and develop social skills, sportsmanship and teamwork skills. Here are a few pictures of the action last Wednesday.
