This past Tuesday, we started our High School clinics at the United Sports Training Center. We played on a “Sport Court” surface, which is a fast paced surface typically suited for roller hockey, but we strung up a few nets, created some realistic boundaries, and made it work for tennis!
Due to the fast pace of the surface, the main purpose of these clinics is doubles training. Lots of fast paced volley and positioning drills were utilized and will continue to be utilized throughout the session. We had a good turnout from Downingtown East’s up and coming players. We’ll continue these clinics through February, and they’re a great way for high school players to get their timing back and improve their doubles strategizing.
Pictures to come!
