Summer Tennis Events

Our spring sessions are wrapping up, and the summer tennis season is about to kick into full gear. Aside from the camps and clinics, we’re excited to announce an assortment of other fun tennis events for you and your children to enjoy.

Below, I’ve outlined our summer events, which include 3 USTA Sanctioned 10 and under tournaments (which are a lot of fun), and 4 USTA “Play Days” in affiliation with PATTA (Philadelphia Area Team Tennis Association). All are great ways to get in the game!

What is a Play Day? A USTA Play Day simply gets kids out on the court playing singles in a relaxed, fun, family oriented atmosphere. Parents (or an adult) are encouraged to participate as well in an effort to increase parent involvement and understanding. All you’ll need to do is bring a racquet, water, and a parent/adult to act as a court supervisor. We’ll handle the rest!

To register for your child to play, please contact Justin Depietropaolo at Justin@phillyteamtennis.org or 610-450-4816.

Tournaments: We’ll also be hosting an assortment of USTA sanctioned 10 and under tournaments featuring both singles and doubles formats. I’m a huge advocate of 10 and under tennis and had great previous experiences with running this type of tournament. I’ve said it many times before, but I’ll say it again. The rallies are entertaining, the competition is a combination of fun and fierce, the atmosphere is low pressure, and you can just see the sportsmanship and on-court skills developing within these young players.
